The "Link Walker Open" is presented by the UWEC Football Program. This year's event kicked off at Mill Run Golf Course in Eau Claire, WI. on Saturday, July 16th.

Link Walker was born and raised in Eau Claire. He served in the US NAVY as a rangefinder during World War II. He earned eight letters in football and baseball while attending Eau Claire State Teacher's College (now UWEC). He was the UWEC head coach for 19 years.

This year's participants were an eclectic group of former BLUGOLD athletes (mostly football contributors). The competition was good, but the camaraderie was better!
